On the expansive grounds, European bison, Przewalski's horses, Konik horses and various cattle breeds graze on large open pastures – in their natural state and visible from the visitor paths without any fences in between.\n\nThe viewpoint hill on the grounds offers one of the finest panoramas in the entire Eichsfeld: fields, forests, villages and the gentle hill chains of the region spread out all around – on clear days extending far into the Harz Mountains and the Thuringian Eichsfeld.\n\nWell-maintained hiking trails lead across the grounds, past wildlife, traditional orchards and species-rich hay meadows. Information boards explain the conservation work of the foundation.
