Eiscafe San Remo

Located in the shopping arcade on Lange Strasse, Eiscafe San Remo offers a wide selection of homemade ice cream in cones or cups. The Grohmann family makes all the flavours themselves, and the owner learned the craft of ice cream making in Italy. Alongside the classic flavours, creative specialities like the spaghetti ice cream platter are sure to surprise.

The menu also has some more playful creations worth a look: several spaghetti ice cream variations, the classic with strawberry sauce and white chocolate, a banana or chocolate version, or a tongue-in-cheek "Carbonara" style with eggnog and nuts, plus Tartufo with chocolate sauce and coffee liqueur, colourful pizza ice cream, or the fried-egg-look "Spiegelei" ice cream with apricots. For sharing, there is the generously sized Coppa Mille Fiori for two.

We have been visiting San Remo ourselves for a long time, since our children were toddlers, and we still stop by regularly today. Our favourite is the blueberry cup, made with fresh blueberries and plenty of cream. In summer, we also regularly bring our own berries from the guesthouse garden, which are then turned into ice cream there.

There is also coffee and cake, yoghurt creations and waffles. The atmosphere is cosy and the service friendly.

The cafe is located at Lange Strasse 17 in Leinefelde-Worbis.

San Remo is the perfect stop during a stroll through Worbis or after a visit to the Alternative Bear Park, which is just a short walk away.
